Dear Neighbor,

We wish to gain your support for our proposed mixed use project at the northeast corner of Palms Boulevard and Motor Avenue. On August 2nd, 2006 the Palms Neighborhood Council voted to give their approval to this project. Prior to their approval, the owners went into the Palms neighborhood with three other individuals to do direct outreach and found overwhelming support for this project. Ninety-three percent of the 350 people we spoke to support this specific project and think it is something the neighborhood needs. Unfortunately we have vocal opposition from a small group of people who are not representative of the Palms Neighborhood. To ensure that this project can become a reality, we need continued support from the community, most critically your attendance at the upcoming LA City Planning Commission meeting. If you are unable to attend and wish to support our project, please write a letter of support and send it via e-mail to Councilman Jack Weiss councilmember.weiss@lacity.org and the Los Angeles City Zoning Administrator Madhu Kumar madhu.kumar@lacity.org.
